24 April 2009
Get informed about the rapidly developing solar cooling market in Europe and latest solar cooling technology developments by attending the Solar Cooling Conference and Workshop on May 18 and 19 2009 at the CSIRO Energy Centre in Newcastle. This conference is organised by the Australian Solar Cooling Interest Group (ausSCIG).
European solar cooling expert Dr Uli Jakob from SolarNext AG will deliver the plenary presentation on his experiences and the development of the solar cooling industry in Europe.
Other speakers include Peter Brodribb, Principal Consultant, Energy Climate & HVAC&R Expert Group, and Sarah Miller, CSIRO Solar Thermal Research Project Manager, who will give the inside story on solar cooling technology, research progress and upcoming solar cooling projects.
Site tours of CSIRO's solar cooling test facilities will follow the conference and will include inspection of the Solar Collector Field, Climate Controlled Test Facility and brand new Balanced Ambient Calorimeter Test Facility and Low Temperature Solar Thermal Collector Field.
A Solar Cooling Crash Course workshop will be held on May 18 for people new to solar cooling, or for those who feel a refresher would be beneficial.
