Switch to GreenPower
What is GreenPower?
It is electricity generated from government accredited renewable energy.

Where does GreenPower come from?
It is sourced from the sun, wind, water and waste which produce no greenhouse gas emissions.
When an organisation buys a GreenPower accredited product, energy suppliers commit to buying a specified amount of electricity from approved renewable energy sources that would otherwise have been sourced from fossil fuels.
Why switch to GreenPower?
Your organisation can make immediate reductions in greenhouse emissions by choosing GreenPower. Combine this with a Resource Smart energy saving plan and you can easily recoup the cost of GreenPower and further reduce your organisations' greenhouse emissions.
The Victorian Government currently buys 10 per cent of its energy needs from GreenPower and this will increase to 25 per cent by 2010.
Your organisation can also consider buying GreenPower for its events and conferences. It's a simple way to promote your organisation's commitment to being ResourceSmart.
How do I switch to GreenPower?
Simply call a participating energy company and ask to switch to Green Power. Visit the GreenPower website for a list of retailers.
