2011 ResourceSmart Schools Awards
The winners of the 2011 ResourceSmart Schools Awards were announced on Thursday 17 November at a ceremony at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Chair of Sustainability Victoria, Dr Gillian Sparkes, presented the awards to this year's winners at the ceremony hosted by ABC TV personality and zoologist Chris Humfrey.
Congratulations to Aitken College in Greenvale who took out this year's ResourceSmart School of the Year Award.
Winners and finalists will share in more than $45,000 in cash and prizes to support them in growing their sustainability projects.
A total of 94 entries were received for this year's awards an increase of 29 percent on last year.
