Waste Wise Events program 2004 - 2009

The Waste Wise Events program has now closed.

In June 2009, Sustainability Victoria ended the Waste Wise Events certification program. The program was run for five years and, as a result, waste action resources such as instructional signage, mobile bin caps and a continual improvement pathway for events were successfully developed.

With the help of our program delivery partners, the Regional Waste Management Groups, Waste Wise Events also established an expectation of low waste events in Victoria.

Making your event more sustainable - some useful resources

Sustainability Victoria also supported the development of a new sustainable events resource - the Sustainable Living Foundation's Event Planner. The most useful aspects of our Waste Wise Events program have been incorporated into the Event Planner tool.
